August 2007
2:10 PM 8/28/2007 An update to the GS5 has just been made, changing the graphics of many dialogs across the board. Mostly changing the encounter dialogs. The Map Editor was also spiced up a bit with a smaller buttons and the addition of a new button that allows the placement of Special Buildings as encounters. Special Buildings, as some may know, are the buildings great temples can create as a satellite building. I would have added more buildings to the list, but the limitations of the game are crippling in so many ways. A new map has been added to the Maps Archive, called Corlis. Corlis is an official map of the GS5 mod. 3:04 PM 8/15/2007 Just a bit of news to update readers on. I have been working diligently on reworking some GS files from scratch. This task includes spacing, reorganizing and the reintroduction of new code in a very tedious trial-and-error method of testing. Also, some dialog files are being reworked so that they are compatable with the regular game. And by saying that much, it already gives others an idea that points towards a GS-Zero recreation. This is true, but a GS-Zero remake will surface in the near future. And this remake will have as minimal impact as possible to the game, making the GS-Zero mod 100% compatable with the normal/unmodified game. Recreating the GS-Zero will be a monumental task. The remake will have cleaner and clearer edits, including comments, it will take the best game dialog edits from the GS5. The Unit Information Panels, Artifact Panels and Building Information Panels will display in the same fashion as the GS5. The Map Editor will display resource building sprites. Selecting Death without customization will not make you Balkoth, unless you select a Necromancer Lord and enter his name as Balkoth. Hotkeys as found in the GS5 will be available (including map rotation, parry hotkey, stealth, berserk, aimed attacks, hotkey for saving with multiplayer games, removal and replacement of the shroud in single player). Much to look forward to with a new GS-Zero. Look for an update to the GS-Zero in the next month or so. 4:18 PM 8/2/2007 The faith of the month had already been updated. Nothing special going on as of late, however the most recent change to the GS5 mod fixing an error with the new rotation functionality with the Page Up/Down keys. Also a few banner-graphic changes on the site. The GS5 Artifacts page is currently at a halt as of now. I knew that when I started adding a lot of the Artifact information I would have to do it in bulk because I knew I would be less likely to continue construction on it at a later date.
