11:05 AM 4/14/2005 Finally updated the Faith of the Month. I would also like to put out an open invitation to any viewers of my website. If you would like to give the descriptions of the Barracks, Guild, or Mage Tower units like I already have, following a smiliar format I will gladly post it on my website and you will be given Credit for it in the Credits page. So look at the Death Faith page, you will see I have descriptions of the Guild Troops and Barracks units. If you wanted to send in descriptions for the Mage Tower units, you may do so and earn Credit for it. The reason behind me no longer gradually putting those descriptions up is a lack of time and anything I do with this website is basically updating the GS5B. So the offer stands. 10:34 PM 4/12/2005 Fixed a minor URL/HTML link problem with GS1R. It was directing viewers to GS0. 10:06 AM 4/4/2005 The month of April has rolled around, and for that we need a new faith of the month. This will be updated later on today. The GS5 has continued in it's beta phase now for 4 months. Many many new additions have been added to the game. Changed artifacts, new spells, new artifacts, and many other significant changes. Just recently were the changes in names for some of the Lords. For instance, the Dwarven Thief Lord of the Fire Faith is now known as a Punisher. The Dark Warlord from the Death Faith is now known as a Death Bringer. The Paladin Lord of the Order Faith is now known as a Crusader. These are just some minor changes. This game is totally different with this mod. It has opened up many of the possibilities players could only once dream of. People may have dreamed of more useful champions and units, such as the Eagles and the Air/Fire Warriors. Before these units were sub-par at best, but with the changes of the GS5B these units should by no means be underestimated. Through observation, one might even say that Level 5 Life Cavalry will always lose to Level 5 Chaos Cavalry. This isn't true! At level 5, both of these units have 10 armor which may not seem like a lot, but is. Don't expect Cavalry units to be super awesome, only Lords and High tier creature units fit in that category. Even though creatures are naturally stronger than Military units, this does no mean they lose value. Military units can be hired as mercenaries whereas creatures cannot. Lords with their legendary artifacts can naturally be more destructive than Legendary creatures. More threatening are level 15 Mages. Mages of that calibur have the ability to turn simple bolt spells into projectiles of mass destruction. Also, Legendary creatures are heavily vulnerable to magic of the opposite faith, which "spells" more power to Mages. And beyond Mages are the Thieves, who have been given a great deal of help through the designs of my Multi-Shot spells, which perfectly simulate a thief's attack. The Multi-Attack spells are casted when the Thief attacks with their Legendary artifacts, which target a radius of enemies and deal damage that is relative to the Thief's level. Improvement of the entire game is what I am aiming for, in addition to balance and fun. If you have ideas of your own that you would like to see be added to the game, you need only post on my forum. And for those whose ideas are used in my mods will be credited upon my Credits page.
