When combat begins, the wielder automatically invokes Holy Visit and the effects remain permanent until dispelled. In combat, this staff ignores the defenses of Undead defenders.

At the begining of the wielder's turn, this staff activates Detect Death.

Yeoman and Cavalier may also wield this staff.
